Electronic Stability Control (ESC) (remove) – With Rick & Scout

Drivers should be sure to slow down on slippery roads and before taking turns. However, as Rick explains, emergencies can still happen. Luckily, electronic stability control (ESC) – a feature that can help keep you on your desired path – can help.

In this video, Rick and his buddy Scout watch what happens when a car with ESC spins out versus what happens when a car without ESC spins out. The car with ESC is able to brake certain wheels to help steer the car back to where the driver was headed.

Drivers who lose control of cars may drive off the road and potentially roll over. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, more than 10,000 people a year are killed in rollover crashes.
